Baguio State of Mind

It's been more than a month since I moved here in the beautiful city of Baguio. And I have been busy, what with teaching 5, yes, 5 courses, being a foster dad, etc. but not too busy that I don't have time to have a few adventures, and some fun with old and new-found friends.

LOST! somewhere East of Eden. Went on trekking in one of the trails at Camp John Hay. Beautiful!

It was a Thursday night, and the owls were out...

One thing I love about Baguio is that in the evenings, Session Road comes alive with an almost Mardi Gras energy, people milling about, and the street vendors sell the most random of things - woolen, knitted things, hand-made jewelry, hand-painted shirts, socks -yes, socks, preserved monkey's brain, oils, scents (Ok, Ok...I exaggerate...they really don't sell...shirts) and...cowboy hats. When we saw the cowboy hats, we knew we had to have those. And we did(Jan Ver, the other guy - student, musician, and a free spirit. the two guys at the back, dennis and alan, fellow bohemians, were dying with envy. they wanted the hats, but when we went back to the place where we got it, the man selling the hats has mysteriously disappeared, adding a sense of mystery to the serendipitous purchse of the hat). lesson: if you see a hat you like, get it. Or something like that.

Showing off my professorial cowboy hat...Friday afternoon at the Seminary. Class: Christian Ethics

Cool hat nga! And you had the spunk (and courage) to wear it at class. Well, you don't get to be a professor for nothing. haha. :-)
