After a protracted search for the book that included trips to Manila twice, three bookstores, expensive taxi rides (that ultimately cost more than the price of the book), I'm currently reading Dean Alfar's Salamanca. The book has a Gabriel Garcia Marquez feel to it, and I'm loving it. Totally worth the trip, Dean.
