Serendipity and the Rain

A group of us decided purely on a whim to go up to Tagaytay (about an hour's drive up, to the southof Manila) this morning. It turns out it was a dismal day - gray, overcast clouds, it was drizzling, the restaurant we wanted to eat in did not have what we wanted - all these had the making of a bad day (although we have tried to be jovial, and wanted to make the best out of our trip). Just as we were leaving the restaurant that overlooked the breath-taking view of the Taal lake, and Taal Volcano something magical happened. You see, the view was obliterated entirely by the dark gray rain clouds. But then the rain clouds began to lift, like curtains on a stageplay, unveiling a magnificent scene...

Just when we thought it would be a miserable day, something serendipitous, something wonderful turned it around, and made us appreciate nature's surprises. Although the magic of the moment cannot fully be captured, especially by a cellphone camera, I'd like to share with you a little of that serendipity.

Thank you, Lord!
